O’FALLON, Mo. — The O’Fallon community and the greater St. Louis hockey family are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Zachary “Zach” Pruss, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on Sunday, July 19, 2026. His unexpected passing has left family, friends, teammates, coaches, and countless members of the local hockey community grieving the loss of a remarkable young man.
Zach was the cherished son of Johanna and Jason Pruss and the loving brother of Elle Pruss. While he was widely recognized for his dedication and talent on the ice, those who knew him best will remember him for his kind heart, humble nature, and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends.
A passionate hockey player, Zach earned the respect of teammates and coaches through his strong work ethic, determination, and sportsmanship.
