Originally from West Pittston and later a longtime resident of Swoyersville, Bob was known to many as the owner of Uncle Bobby’s Garage LLC, where his honesty, mechanical expertise, and willingness to help others earned him the trust of countless customers. Outside the garage, however, he was equally celebrated as one of the most recognizable voices in the Northeastern Pennsylvania music scene, where he entertained audiences for more than a quarter century.
For more than 26 years, Bob served as the lead vocalist for the popular regional rock band 3rd Degree. His remarkable vocal range, commanding stage presence, and infectious enthusiasm made him a favorite among fans throughout NEPA. Whether performing classic rock anthems or powerful ballads, Bob possessed a rare ability to connect with audiences, bringing energy and authenticity to every performance.
His musical talents extended well beyond one band. Bob gained widespread recognition as the frontman for the Meat Loaf tribute band Bat Out of Hell, where his commanding performances paid tribute to one of rock’s most iconic voices. He also performed with Cool Ride and several other regional acts, earning the admiration of fellow musicians and concertgoers alike.
In addition to his work as a performer, Bob was an accomplished live sound engineer whose technical expertise became legendary throughout the local music community. Fellow performers frequently praised his ability to produce exceptionally clear and balanced live sound, often remarking that he could make a live performance sound as polished as a studio recording. His willingness to lend both his knowledge and equipment to others made him a respected figure behind the scenes as well as on stage.
Bob also believed strongly in giving back to the community that had supported him throughout his life.
