CHELSEA, Mich. — Family, friends, and the Chelsea community are mourning the passing of Audrey Ann Rickelmann, a beloved longtime resident who passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 90.
Audrey’s life was marked by love for her family, enduring friendships, and a deep connection to her community. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the countless lives she touched throughout her nine decades.
Those who knew Audrey recall a woman whose warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Whether spending time with family, supporting friends, or participating in her faith community, she lived a life centered on caring for others and creating meaningful relationships.
Her passing has brought sadness to all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will continue to live on through the lives she influenced and the love she shared with those closest to her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea, with V. Rev. Dr. William J. Canon Turner officiating. Following the Mass, Audrey will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass, where they may gather to honor Audrey’s life, offer condolences, and celebrate the memories she leaves behind.
In keeping with Audrey’s caring spirit, the family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Faith in Action of Chelsea, supporting the organization’s continued service to the community she loved.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home in Chelsea.
