Her passion for helping people thrive extended into a promising professional career in human resources and organizational development. Mackenzie began by serving as a Lead Caregiver and Medpasser at New Perspective Senior Living, where she demonstrated compassion and dedication to those in her care. She later expanded her experience through an internship with Crown Holdings, Inc. before working as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Orion Associates, where she earned respect for her professionalism and ability to connect with people.

In May 2026, Mackenzie joined United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) as an Associate Human Resources Business Partner, marking an exciting new chapter in her career. Colleagues described her as an empathetic leader, thoughtful collaborator, and dedicated professional who approached every challenge with integrity, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to support others’ success.

Beyond her academic and professional accomplishments, Mackenzie treasured the relationships she built throughout her life.
