According to the Hammond Police Department, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. on West Thomas Street near the entrance to the Chanell Shopping Center. Investigators reported that the motorcycle was traveling along the roadway when it became involved in a collision with another vehicle. The impact ejected both riders, and despite the rapid response of emergency medical personnel, Kaleb and Brittany were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities stated that the driver of the other vehicle was not injured. The crash remains under investigation, and routine toxicology testing is being conducted as part of standard procedure.
